Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

This individual is tasked to provide leadership and oversight for the field staff assigned to a specific element of the project. Directs the activities of a MEP construction-related field office for field staff personnel who provide various services to assure contractors activities are in compliance with contractual requirements.
 
Responsibilities and Major Activities:
* Review daily reports generated by field personnel to ensure the reports are in accordance with established procedures such that all activities and events are properly documented, each is accompanied with proper support data and are completed in a timely manner.
* Supervising and as necessary performing observation, surveillance and audit of selected contractor field MEP construction, quality management and field supervision operations.
* Provides technical expertise to evaluate contractor compliance to industry and project safety standards.
* Recognize developing issues related to unsafe situation, technically incorrect, contractually non-compliant or contrary to approved plans or procedures.
* Maintains proactive relationship with contractor's quality and supervisory staffs to facilitate in accordance with procedures the necessary corrective action by the contractor.
* Full utilization of interpersonal skills to ensure effective and efficient interactions and interchanges with others and proficiency to work effectively and efficiently with others using fundamental interpersonal skills conducive to teamwork.
* Receives direction on a daily basis from the MEP Construction Manager and reports functionally to the MEP Construction Manager.
* Maintains frequent contact with client, contractor's quality management staff and supervisory personnel to communicate status of all project field activities
* Coordinates all PMC jobsite construction assurance team activities and ensures assures that PMC MEP construction assurance work is compliant with contract.
* Directs and supervises PMC personnel working on the field team
* Ensures effective personnel utilization
* Assures that contractor operations are in compliance with its approved plans and processes as well as contract documents, including environmental emissions and permitting
* Monitors progress against approved schedules.
* Monitors project safety programs, assuring contractor adherence to its approved safety plans as well as contractual requirements
* Informs client and PMC management organization of any shortcomings, issues and other pertinent matters.

Requirements

* Accredited degree in related industry activities (engineering) or equivalent related experience.
* NEBOSH International Certificate in construction Health & Safety or ability to obtain one within six (6) months after initial project assignment date.
* Experience on industry relevant projects in positions of successive authority and responsibility on large projects transportation or infrastructure projects.
* English fluency in reading, writing and speech.
* Proficient experience in key MS Desktop applications.
* Prior experience on multi-phase projects and in the Middle East is preferred.
