Legal Associate - Corporate

Job description / Role

Seeking a highly motivated and skilled Associate to join the team in the Doha office. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to advise government bodies, and international and local companies (including state-owned and privately owned energy companies) on a wide range of commercial and corporate matters.

Role and key responsibilities:

• Assist in advising clients on Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance, and restructuring.
• Support clients in listing and admission to trade.
• Provide legal counsel on court and arbitration disputes.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents.
• Collaborate with senior associates and partners on complex legal matters.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent.
• English and Wales qualified.
• 3-5 years PQE.
• 2-4 years of experience in commercial and corporate law.
• Strong understanding of the sectors mentioned above.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Proven track record of managing complex transactions from inception to completion.
• Strong team player with the ability to collaborate across different regions and cultures.
