Job description / Role
Charterhouse has an exciting opportunity for a highly driven corporate Commercial Lawyer who is already based in Qatar and is looking for a long-term stable role. Our client is a successful and progressive company who has been in the market over a decade and a leader in their industry sectors. This role will report into the Group Legal Counsel and will strengthen their well-established team.
In this busy and challenging role you will be responsible for assisting the organisation with general corporate and commercial work. This will include drafting and negotiating a range of documents such as, shareholder agreements, licensing agreements, due diligence, joint ventures etc. You will also be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and administration of contracts, supporting with corporate governance as well as representation of employees on various legal matters.
Requirements
The successful candidate should hold an LLB and have at least 4-5 years PQE. You should have a strong corporate background and be fluent in English and Arabic at translation level, both written and verbal.
You should have a proven track record of drafting highly complex legal agreements, with at least three years transactional experience. The ideal candidate should be a driven and proactive individual who has a positive and professional attitude along with a sense of urgency in your approach. The role will support all levels of the business therefore it is imperative you are a team player who can work along-side internal/external Stakeholders, including Senior Management.
