Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Linum Consult’s client is major consultancy operating in the Middle East. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Lawyer with a background in Dispute Management for the Transportation/Infrastructure industry to join their team in Qatar.

ROLE
• Providing contentious construction advice to construction project teams and senior management in coordination with other company departments, ensuring that the interests of the company are protected
• Providing advice and opinions in accordance with the company’s internal policies and procedures
• Assisting in the preparation of documents required to defend and pursue claims

Requirements

• University degree in Law from a recognised law school
• Around 5-10 years’ experience working in a private practice, with at least 5 years’ experience working as a construction lawyer
• Experience of drafting project documents, including minor to medium-sized building contracts, MOUs, and advice & opinion letters
• Familiarity with the FIDIC suite of contracts is essential, preferably in the rail sector
• Previous experience of working in the Middle East is preferred
• The candidate must be fluent in both written and spoken English
