Job summary

A leading energy company is seeking a machinery control engineer specialist to provide technical expertise in machinery control systems. Acting as a subject matter expert, this role supports engineering, operations, and maintenance teams, ensuring high reliability, availability, and cybersecurity of critical control systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support in machinery control system engineering, including design reviews, failure analysis, and advanced troubleshooting.
• Define and document surveillance and administration programs for critical control systems to enhance reliability and availability.
• Recommend best practices and performance improvement initiatives within area of expertise.
• Act as technical authority and mentor junior engineers and national trainees.
• Manage work schedules to meet KPIs, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Provide technical guidance to other disciplines and functions to support business objectives.
• Supervise activities performed by contractors, consultants, and service providers.
• Define competency development plans and coach engineers and trainees to build capabilities.

Qualifications & experience

• Bacheloru2019s degree in engineering.
• Minimum 8 yearsu2019 experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry.
• Experience with turbo machinery control applications (e.g., GE, CCC, Triconex).
• Knowledge of international standards such as IEC, ANSI/ISA, and API RP.
