Maintenance Engineer – CCTV and Access Control - required immediately!

Purpose of Role:

To monitor maintenance progress on a major project based in Ras Laffan, Qatar.

Maintenance Responsibilities: Support the Maintenance Manager, liaise with the Project Team, subcontractors & vendors to deliver an integrated maintenance service delivery solution.

Key Tasks:
• Prepare integrated logistics plans, policies and procedures for maintenance support to the Client’s security Department.
• Conduct analysis of maintenance capabilities and requirements and make appropriate recommendations to Maintenance Manager.
• Meet the levels of service, response times and service management procedures required to manage an effective maintenance capability.
• Ensure that services are delivered to defined Service Level Agreements as defined in contract requirements.
• Create reports, collect and consolidate data, and prepare maintenance reports.
• Analyse and report on reliability and performance of assets during the warranty and maintenance period
• Analyse and recommend optimal positioning of maintenance assets to support readiness and on-going contract maintenance requirements.
• Manage third party contract and their service management performance.
• Manage, track and resolve warranty issues including logistics related to equipment returns to manufacturers or vendors.
• To analyse complex issues and coordinate the resolution of any problems that arise, with supervision of Maintenance Manager.
• Prepare and present detail of service management, maintenance performance and capability of the maintenance organisation.
• Issue corrective maintenance status and preventative maintenance scheduling.
• To monitor the quality of work of subordinates and peers to achieve performance excellence.

Requirements

Education: Degree educated
• High level knowledge and understanding of SAP software packages as related to trouble ticket scheduling, MS Project and Primavera (preferable).
• Reasonable degree of IT Literacy in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• In depth Middle East business exposure and knowledge.
• Knowledge of IP/Network based security equipment hardware/software technologies.
• Knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure and associated technologies.
• Strong team player who can communicate, motivate and interact effectively with technical, commercial and administrative team-members.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Self motivated, dedicated, and hard working.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage constantly evolving workload priorities.
• Sound decision making skills.
• Excellent communication skills and command of the English language is essential.
• Success in working to tight timelines and interfacing with suppliers from different geographical locations.
• Able to coordinate the actions of subcontractors towards the attainment of contract specifications.
