A major oil and gas company in Qatar is hiring two maintenance support mechanical engineers to be based in Doha. This role supports obsolescence and spares lifecycle management, contributing to reliability, cost efficiency, and asset integrity across onshore and offshore facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage capital spares, obsolete items, and shelf-life expired stock.
• Support technical bid evaluations and interface agreements for mechanical equipment.
• Participate in engineering feasibility studies and obsolescence mitigation planning.
• Conduct lifecycle and master data governance reviews in SAP.
• Liaise with internal departments and external vendors to ensure continuity and compliance.

Minimum requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in oil & gas or petrochemical industry.
• Experience with static and rotating equipment (e.g., pumps, compressors, turbines).
• Familiarity with API, ASME, NACE standards.
• Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office tools.
• Fluent in English; able to work in a multicultural environment.
