Manager Environmental Compliance and Assurance - Qatar Airways - Doha

The purpose of the role is to lead the development and delivery of internal assurance regarding compliance to environmental regulation and business policy across Qatar Airways (QR) Group. The role exists to evaluate the quality of management systems and operational procedures and their implementation throughout QR.

As Manager Environmental Compliance and Assurance, you will identify and evaluate statutory and non-statutory requirements and auditing, while inspecting and verifying the adequacy of local management controls across QR Group. You will provide assurance to QR Group Executives that business activities within their control comply with environmental regulation and business policy.

Part of this role will see you managing an environmental assurance program for QR Group with processes and procedures compliant to ISO14001 and IEnvA standards, industry best practices and risk management mechanisms.

Requirements

You must have a Bachelor Degree or equivalent in environmental, physical science or engineering subject, a membership of a recognised Environmental Management professional body or a professional qualification in environmental management along with a minimum of 5 years of job related experience, preferably in an airline industry in an environmental role.

We are looking for proactive, dynamic and passionate individuals with excellent commercial and communication skills that are focused on results and works well under pressure. An extensive knowledge of ISO14001 is a must along with strong project management skills and the ability to interpret legislation and regulation into business standards and process. Waste, energy and water management within a facilities management context experience would be an asset.
