Established in 2001 as a partnership between Cornell University and Qatar Foundation, WCM-Q is part of Weill Cornell Medicine in New York and shares its mission of dedication to excellence in education, patient care and research.

The first medical school in Qatar and a pioneer of coeducation at university level, WCM-Q offers an integrated program of pre-medical and medical studies leading to the Cornell University M.D. degree. Teaching is by Cornell and Weill Cornell faculty, including physicians at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) who hold Weill Cornell appointments.

WCM-Q is in its 17th year of operation and is seeking a candidate for Manager, Marketing & Evaluations.

Reporting to the Director, Continuing Professional Development, the Manager, Marketing & Evaluations is responsible for developing a marketing strategy and revenue management mechanism to support the further development of continuing education activities.

The incumbent will be responsible for investigating and determining the most effective & reliable avenues to promote CME & CPD activities, participating in the creation of printed & electronic materials, leading the development and execution of marketing strategies and advertising, promoting educational course/programs, including designing brochures, catalogs and flyers, ensuring consistency, high quality, cost effective work, and reflecting WCM-Q branding specifications, collaborating with ITS and other divisions for assistance, managing agency & vendor relationships, developing relationships with new potential stakeholders, gathering statistics & analyzing past performance and current/future trends. Utilizing surveys to monitor & evaluate the success and performance, establishing and maintaining calendar of events and implementing a system for long-term planning and effective event management, supporting activities and providing weekly operational status report.

Requirements

The successful candidate is required to have a Bachelor’s degree in Health, education-related field, and a minimum of five years’ experience in marketing, marketing research, business development or related field, or the equivalent combination of education & experience, with a basic knowledge of CME/CPD, and familiarity with the ACCME and/or QCHP standards, and previous experience in medical related field. She/he should have demonstrated success in working effectively in teams, with graphic design skills, strong analytical, interpersonal, communications, negotiation, consensus-building and financial skills, and with high degree of independence to accomplish program objectives.

Compensation will include a competitive salary with supplement for Foreign Service, housing and transportation.
