Tasks

Description

Marine and logistic activities related activities focal point within the affiliate including loading/discharging, bunkering operations, special operations (well stimulations/project vessels), review of contractor documents and procedures, offshore field monitoring system (ISPS – AIS system) for logistics. Assists and advises entities when requested for typical marine/logistic related activities such as jack-up barge and rig moves. Attendance as company representative. Review of RMP and associated supporting documents (passage plan, SSA, LPA, positioning).

Technical follow-up of watercrafts core fleet of the affiliate including the spot and project watercrafts:

  • Organize, carry out and issue report of marine inspection
  • Competency requirements of deck and engine crew
  • Compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, IMDG, LL, LSA, FFC, etc.
  • Compliance with CMS procedures (GMI, adverse weather, collision management, pax transfer)
  • Operational and emergency procedures
  • Maintenance and spare part philosophy
  • Organize, carry out and issue report of DP inspection for all types of watercrafts equipped with a DP Class 1, 2 or 3:
  • Design philosophy in relation with IMO 645
  • DP contractor philosophy (operation and HSE)
  • Class notation requirements in relation with the evolution of the class and IMCA guidelines
  • Relevance of the position reference system type versus type of operation to be carried out
  • Competency requirements of deck and engine crew
  • Operational and emergency procedures
  • Electric production and distribution
  • Propulsion layout
  • Maintenance and spare part philosophy
  • Reporting incidents
  • DP annual test and 5 yearly FMEA attendance for core fleet and review for newly integrated vessels in the fleet
  • Review and validation of proposed ASOG/CAMO
  • Establishment of planning and follow-up of inspections and associated action plans post inspection
  • Issuance of MRAEP (Marine Restricted Area Entry Permit)
  • As a marine advisor for all marine activities, ensure that marine operations are conducted safely in accordance with company rules and general specifications
  • Be an underwater contact person to coordinate with company diving representatives (CDR) or diving worksite representative (DWR) during diving operations
  • Review and intervene in contractual processes during diving operations
  • Liaise with TotalEnergies HQ marine and underwater departments as per operational needs

Marine and logistic related technical focal point for contract and call for tenders

  • Participate in preparation of exhibits, technical specifications, technical evaluation
  • Logistic services technical focal point (e.g., tank cleaning, waste management)
  • Marine services technical focal point (watercraft, weather forecast, positioning service, ROV)
  • Preparation of SQM for marine services

Methods

  • Full review and simplification of logistic archiving process
  • Implementation and follow-up of newly defined organization

Marine and logistic trainer

Act as logistic trainer for logistic team and other entities as required on various subjects such as, but not limited to:

  • Logistic port operations – cargo loading calculations (trim and stability)
  • SQM training
  • IMDG training / IMO training
  • DP and positioning system
  • MGO consumption and GHG calculations
  • Special operations (e.g., tanks cleaning, bulk and liquid transfer operations)

Profile

  • Master mariner - STCW CoC
  • 10 years’ experience at sea in various officers’ positions
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as master on a DP2/3 PSV and IMR vessel
  • Senior DPO unlimited
  • Full understanding of manual manoeuvring capability for DP vessels and non-DP vessels
  • Full understanding of FMEA description and trials (attendance as company representative for DP annual and FMEA 5 yearly trials)
  • Full understanding of the DP auxiliaries’ technologies such as position reference systems
  • Good understanding of engine and electrical distribution on diesel electric vessels
  • Good understanding and experience of class DP notation and survey
  • Knowledge of international marine rules and regulations (IMO, OCIMF, SOLAS, MARPOL, IMCA, DNVGL, etc.)
  • Knowledge of TotalEnergies SA company rules and general specifications
  • Full understanding of logistic activities and interfaces between logistic base, port operations and watercraft
