Job description / Role
• Review of the Materials specifications and finalize the suitable material required
• Review of Job Mix Formula for Asphalt Products
• Day-to-day site visits to monitor the quality of Asphalt laying operations
• Liaison with Consultant for Asphalt Operations
• Review of ITP and other relevant procedure for the asphalt products along the QA/QC Team.
• Advise the sampling section for the test of the materials as per the ITP
• Review and certify the external test reports and calibration reports for adequacy
• Review all Asphalt Mix design files submitted to Conformity Department of the Ministry of Environment for approval.
• Supervise laboratory verification process of Mix design in presences of representative from Conformity Department of the Ministry of Environment
• Supervise plant trial verification of Mix design in presence of representative from Conformity Department of the Ministry of Environment.
• Monitor the production of asphalt according to specifications.
• Review the asphalt tests results analysis in control charts.
Requirements
The right candidate should have Degree or Diploma in Civil (Materials Engineering) from an accredited institution and specialized in engineering or construction. Candidate should possess minimum 12 years of experience (including GCC region) with at least 7 years in development of Asphalt Mix Design and analysis of Asphalt Materials and latest laboratory procedures, Testing techniques and equipment.
