We are currently working with our client based in Qatar to source a material planning specialist. This is a residential contract position, based in Qatar.

Job purpose & key accountabilities:

• Lead development and improvement of sustainable material management systems.
• Interface with other entities, warehouse, offshore teams, and stakeholders via SAP.
• Monitor and report maintenance material status using SAP/PALM.
• Create and improve processes for material management.
• Support offshore visits and ensure process serenity.
• Drive HSE compliance and safety culture.
• Provide guidance and admin support for material movement.
• Liaise with warehouse and maintenance teams for material flow and refurbishment.
• Coordinate with shutdown/campaign teams for tracking and tagging.
• Manage documentation and certification using the systems.
• Initiate re-certification/testing with vendors.
• Support Primavera-based planning and scheduling.
• Participate in audits and vendor performance evaluation.
• Promote best practices and support Qatarisation.
• Participate in crisis response training.

Qualifications, experience, & skills:

• Technical diploma with 10+ years in oil & gas (onshore/offshore).
• Strong SAP/PALM and MS Office skills.
• Knowledge of Primavera and material management processes.
• Experience in multi-cultural environments.
• Fluent in English (technical vocabulary).
