Mechanical Design Engineer

Job description / Role

We are looking for a motivated, creative and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to the development and implementation of mechanical systems for a wide range of projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, as well as infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to create innovative, efficient, and sustainable designs that meet client requirements and project specifications. Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master degree is an asset

Software
• Microsoft office
• AutoCad 2 -3 ( Mandatory )
• Revit ( Mandatory )
• Civil 3D
• Navisworks

Experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design for building services and infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and simulation tools like HAP or CFD software.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system principles.
• Understanding of industry standards and codes.
• Medium and Mega Projects experience


Responsibilities:
• Design mechanical systems for buildings, including HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and BMS (Building Management System).
• Develop comprehensive layouts and schematics using Revit and AutoCAD—proficiency in both is essential.
• Prepare design calculations for HVAC load, duct and pipe sizing, and pressure drops under supervision.
• Perform plumbing system calculations, including water supply, drainage, and fire suppression systems.
• Generate technical documentation such as calculation reports, technical notes, and design narratives.
• Assist in drafting mechanical specifications and Bills of Quantities for tender submissions.
• Coordinate with architectural, electrical, and civil teams to ensure smooth integration of mechanical systems.
• Provide technical support to ensure accurate implementation of designs during construction.
• Ensure compliance with local and international mechanical standards and codes.
• Assist in reviewing mechanical designs for approval by relevant authorities.
