Job description / Role
Manage all mechanical activities from estimation and during construction.Estimate manpower/tools and implement construction plan. Monitor construction work progress, implementation methods, and system Testing. Prepares schedule for preventive maintenance for those works. Works with the site construction team and other project engineers in reaching the successful project closure.
Requirements
• Generally responsible for implementations and monitoring of all mechanical related works as per approved drawings and methods and safety rules.
• Quantity surveying and material take-off from engineering drawings, and assist tendering team on cost estimates
• Prepare construction documents: method statements, procedures, material submittals
• Work on Shop drawing and As-built with the mechanical Draftsman
• Conduct material delivery to store inspections to ensure goods are complete and in good condition as per the required material approval documents
• Prepares material estimates, manpower delegation, tools and equipment requisitions, and visual check of site conditions (where assigned), prior to execution of installation.
• Checks all piping and equipment installations against materials submittals,specification and drawings for conformance.
• Manages directly and provide engineering and technical supports to all the Mechanical work groups at site.
• Plans the execution of all Mechanical related works and coordinates the works to Electrical and civil groups.
• Assign targets for accomplishments and ensure targets are met on daily basis for all Mechanical groups at site.
• Attends regular meeting with client, civil engineers and consultant to provide update on project progress.
• To collaborate with cost control and planning department in preparing the daily progress reports
• Conduct installation& Testing inspections in coordination with QC & Consultant
• Monitor the site work progress and Prepare daily/weekly progress reports
• Lead the site team and ensures execution is carried as per approvals and standards
• Ensure the site supervisors are leading the site team as per the approved safety plans, and all works permits are in place before work starts
• Coordinate with the safety officer to conduct and prepare toolbox talks and pre-task safety briefing and safety moments
• Read the construction documents: project specifications, local standards, International Guidelines, safety plan, project schedule
• Attends regular construction progress and safety meetings
• Review proposal and design for new installations and equipment that can be operated and maintained economically, efficiently, and safely.
• Provides technical assistance and advice on preparation of studies on operational problems such as equipment optimization, project study.
• Performs other related duties as may be required by the Construction Manager.
