Job description / Role
Purpose and Scope:
The Medical Services Program Manager is the senior leader on a medical services project and oversees medical services provided for company and subcontracted employees, ensures that providers comply with requirements, and promotes healthy work behaviors and environment within the scope, schedule, and budget of the project.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Act as a senior medical advisor to guide supplier management, program leadership, and medical providers on applicable regulations, contract requirements, company policies, health risks, wellness strategies, and overall medical performance of subcontractors.
• Develop and manage implementation of medical-related policies and practices.
• Develop statements of work containing medical requirements.
• Coordinate with medical providers, deployment centers, and sites to establish, track, and report on performance metrics and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee and evaluate medical services and providers to ensure fulfillment of contract and government medical deployment requirements, adequate staffing and materials, and compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
• Conduct site visits to inspect and evaluate quality of medical services.
• Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements:
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Minimum twenty (20) years of experience in healthcare management/administrative services. Prefer at least ten (10) years in a managerial role.
• Bachelor's Degree in healthcare, business administration, or associated discipline; may substitute two (2) additional years of experience in related field for each year of college.
• Project Management Institute Certification of CAPM or PMP encouraged.
• Additional experience and education requirements may vary by assignment.
• Advanced knowledge of healthcare services, management, and procedures.
• Working knowledge of subcontract management to facilitate effective working relationships with supplier management.
• Advanced knowledge of US military medical services, supply systems, and regulations.
• Excellent leadership, verbal/written communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software. Additional knowledge and skill requirements may vary by assignment.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
• Works in a normal office/virtual office environment with controlled temperature and lighting conditions. Domestic and international travel required.
• Must be able to work extended hours, often with short notice, to meet deadlines.
• Extended hours may include late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Demonstrate ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities to produce a large volume of high-quality material with attention to detail.
