MEP Electrical Coordinator (Arabic Speaking)

Job description / Role

Linum Consult’s client is urgently seeking an Arabic-speaking Electrical Coordinator specialising in MEP systems and from a contracting background to join their team on a major construction project in Qatar. This is for a 1-year contract.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directly managing the MEP subcontractors
- Writing daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for senior management
- Ensuring timely compliance to the project requirements
- Coordinating with the Consultants to obtain various inspection approvals
- Ensuring all targets are achieved and to a high standard, on time and on budget

Requirements

- 9-12 years of on-site construction experience, with at least 5 years in the GCC region, preferably in Qatar
- Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Strong background of working on high rise construction projects, with any hotel construction experience a definite plus
- Excellent technical knowledge of MEP systems and Testing & Commissioning
- Immediate availability, or 2 weeks’ notice at the most
- Fluent in both Arabic and English, with good interpersonal and communication skills
