Role summary

We are working with a major oil & gas operator to source for a multipurpose support vessel installation supervisor. The position will be based offshore (support vessel) and is responsible to represent the company on board installation vessels to ensure safe and quality-compliant execution of works by providing oversight on contractoru2019s day-to-day activities in accordance with established policies and procedures.

This is a contract role with an initial duration of 36 months working on a rotational basis with 28 days on/28 days off. Please see details below:

Start date: Negotiable (typically within 1 month notice)
Duration: 36 months (potential for extension)
Location: Offshore (vessel/barge)
Working schedule: 12 hours per day with 28 days on/28 days off

Key accountabilities

• Reports directly to lead T&I pipeline/cable
• Acts as company site representative onboard the vessel during the execution phase, communicating the activity status and progress to the vessel lead
• Serves as day-to-day interface with EPC contractor/craft labour
• Monitors and ensures compliance with specification, procedures, and plans
• Works effectively within established procedures or creates and endorses new procedures as necessary to further develop the project management philosophy
• Interfaces with various project teams and departments on resolving related issues that require effective communication, initiative, flexibility, and an ability to induce collaboration
• Exhibits team leadership skills, integrity, self-confidence, and fairness
• Takes initiatives, based on experience gained, to deliver timely and cost-effective service
• Manages the resolution of problems and issues in more demanding situations using precedent and own acquired knowledge

Qualifications

• Diploma in engineering

Knowledge and/or experience

• Minimum 8 years offshore installation experience on vessels in transport & installation activities
• Minimum 5 yearsu2019 experience as field engineer or site supervisor onboard installation vessels
• Previous work experience with QELNG and knowledge of QELNG PTW systems is desirable but not mandatory
• Knowledge in installation of offshore facilities and execution methods of subsea structures by an installation vessel
• Demonstrates extensive experience on MSV supervision
• Demonstrates basic training or knowledge in lifting, rigging and safety standards
