Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• To develop strong customer relationships
• To discuss and provide nail services and treatments to clients
• To remove nail polish, exfoliate and remove rough skin from the hands and feet, clean and trim nails
• To promote and sell nail and other salon products
• To interact with other members of the salon as to provide a seamless customer experience
• To adhere to the highest standards of sanitation, which includes cleaning and sanitizing tools and equipment

Key Relationships
• All issues to be communicated to the Salon Manager

Key Job Responsibilities
• Ensure all client areas and equipment are clean, functional and maintained according to the standards set down by the Management
• Ensure that clients receive the best nail care

Self- Management
• To be honest and trustworthy; friendly but professional attitude

Customer Service
• Be customer-service oriented and friendly
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Be organized and tidy
• Be able to multi-task
• Be flexible and cooperative
• Have a high energy level
• Be well-groomed and professional-looking
• Be prompt and possess a good sense of time

Health Safety & Security
• To make note of any maintenance issues and report to Salon Manager
• To ensure that work station and tools are sanitized

General
• Comply with the company corporate code of conduct at all times.
• Familiarize yourself with the company vision and values which link to our model of desired behaviors that we expect all employees to display.
• Perform other tasks at the level of the role as directed by your line manager in pursuit of the achievement of business goals.
• Ability to work as part of a diverse team with colleagues from different viewpoints, cultures and countries.

Requirements

Technical Skills:
• Cuticle and rough skin removal
• Equipment and tools storage and use (safety, sterilization, and sanitation)
• Manicure and pedicure theory
• Massage techniques for the hands, feet, arms, and legs (reflexology)
• Nail filing, shaping, and polishing
• Nail irregularities and diseases prevention (disorders of the nails)
• Product storage and use (safety, nail care chemicals, and their uses and technical applications)
• Sterilization and sanitization
• Customer service
• Laws and regulations related to the practice of manicuring (personal hygiene, public health)
• Best business practices
• Nail design and artistry
• Fabric and sculpting procedures
• Light-cured gels
• Nail extensions, tips, and wraps
• Acrylic nail forms, application, fills, and removal
• Nail products (gels, polishes, etc.)
