Rixos Qetaifan Island North

Opening mid-2022, Rixos Doha Qetaifan will comprise a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sqm of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park and a waterpark. The resort will boast panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Slated to make its debut right before the World Cup, Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country's biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North's waterpark attraction. The Icon Tower, the world's highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres in height.

Night Manager

Within the general guidelines given by the hotel management, he represents the General Manager of the hotel during the night, maintaining high standards of service and operation while taking responsibility for the management of personnel as well as handling guest complaints in a professional manner, which may arise during this period.

What you will be doing:

- Maintains policies and instructions issued by the management.
- Makes necessary decisions when needed.
- Takes necessary actions when needed.
- Contacts General Manager only in emergency cases.
- Makes tour of the hotel according to the checklist.
- Observes and ensures that all departments are well organized, properly staffed and operation is smooth in line with the standards of the hotel during the night.
- Ensures that all employees working at night are in their work locations.
- Maintains a positive spirit among the night team and ensures efficient coordination between the different departments.
- Informs management and Department Heads concerned of problems or irregularities.
- His presence in the lobby area is required.
- Supervises the security department and takes necessary actions in cases of emergency.
- Dispatches security officers to investigate disturbances or investigates him/herself when necessary.
- Assumes responsibility of general passkeys.
- Knows and follows the fire and safety procedures of the hotel.
- Checks function board for accuracy of the events for the next day.
- Greets and welcomes VIP guests and groups whenever possible.
- Must be fully conversant with the Front office procedures also the company policy regarding credit granting, credit card and check transactions.
- Performs all Front Desk activities when necessary.
- Takes care of all requests and complaints when necessary.
- Observes, supervises and closely follows up that all staff greet the guests at all times and handle guest matters or complaints efficiently.
- Handles rebates in accordance with the credit policy.
- Ensures that early departure of groups and individuals is taken care of by checking the following details:
- Wake up calls - Luggage collection - Breakfast orders.
- Must be fully conversant with the System Night Audit process.
- Supervises and ensures that night audit is run properly.
- Contacts System Manager or System Emergency Support in case of system breakdown.
- Supervises proper use of equipment to avoid misuse.
- Checks the "Daily Room Control Report" printed by the Receptionist before night audit. Checks that all room rates are correct against relevant rate reasons and makes corrections if necessary. Approves the report and informs the Night Cashier to start Night Audit. Informs FOM of mistakes or unclear rate instructions to investigate.
- Checks and approves the "Credit Report''. Prepare over credit report and submits to FOM.
- Checks and approves the "Foreign Currency Deposits Report''. Ensure safe box count and submits related reports to FOM.
- On nights of "Sell Out" makes "Turnaways" as per policy and prepares the turn away report to be submitted to the FOM for next day's follow up and records.
- Supervises the running, distribution and filing of night reports is done by the Night Receptionist.
- Supervises that in-house rooming list are printed for the in-house groups every night by the Receptionist.
- Controls and approves the calculation of occupancy and rate figures for the hotel before the Competition Analysis Report is completed by the receptionist.
- Coordinates with the night receptionist and the night cashier in accordance with the instructions given by the FOM and keeps him/her informed of all aspects of the job.
- Approves and authorizes permit form for the dormitory access in absence of the department heads.
- Enters all relevant information into the Night Manager's Logbook and attaches the completed checklist.
- Sends out the Night Manager report.
- Ensures that any complaints from guests are registered and referred to the related department for immediate corrective action to be taken.
- Performs other duties assigned by his/her supervisor.
- Inform management and HR about all the work accidents.
- Follow and audit all uniform and appearance of associates.
- Follow the work security and health issues.
- Follow the legal procedures about his duties and apply them.
- Follow the other duties that given by the management.

Requirements

Your experience and skills include:

- Front Office experience, past experience on administrative level is beneficial
- Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management
- Ability to work from midnight to morning - Night Shift
- Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
- Proficient in Opera PMS and MS Office
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
