Role Summary:You will be responsible for performing accurate and timely Account reconciliation of Nostro within the QNB Group including governance over international branches and subsidiaries, and to ensure all outstanding / un-reconciled items are communicated to the concerned area and cleared on a timely basis after proper investigation is conducted. Also will Generate and analyze Balances report for all accounts on a daily basis for Treasury Ops and Dealing room. Any doubtful / fictitious transactions will be reported as per the laid procedures

Role Description:
• Perform daily reconciliation for assigned Nostro & QATCH Accounts to enable timely identification and resolution of outstanding reconciliation items and thereby prevent any losses being incurred by the Group
• Various local and international departments/ units within QNB Group which will be covered by the personnel responsible for the Reconciliation & Account Investigation functions and to whom reports will be issued stating the areas where improvement is required from an operational/ control perspective
• Ensure the existence of adequate policies/ procedures which define the scope of the control activities and the reporting requirements.
• Timely conduction of central reconciliations in accordance with laid down procedures to ensure that errors, omissions, duplications and any unexplained items are discovered and corrected timely and the root causes identified to prevent recurrence of such instances in future.
• Verify & confirm the performance and functional aspects of the Nostro Reconciliation, and Proof Reports.
• Prepare required reports as per the agreed (KPI) & (KRI) and share/discuss with concerned area in QNB Group.
• Suggest modifications and/ or identify suitable alternate solutions where necessary in coordination with Senior Manager Reconciliation & Account Investigation.
• Prepare financial vouchers for reconciliation as per the laid procedures
• Support International Branches and Subsidiaries
• Possess understanding of Banking Operations, Accounting, control and reconciliation tools, techniques and methods.
• Identify related areas for professional development of self and all direct reports, and act to enhance professional development of self and others

Requirements

• Bachelor in Account/Finance Business Administration
• 2-3 years in banking with a minimum of 3 years in operational controls or finance experience

Additional requirements
• Good oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Proficiency in reconciliation and control tools, techniques and related procedures, including best practices relating to the same.
• Well-versed with the central reconciliations function.
• Knowledge of banking processes/ operations and procedures, transactions and banking systems.
• Knowledge of pertinent regulations pertaining to operations control.
• Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office applications
