Qualification and experience required

Education: Mechanical degree

Professional experience: Minimum 5 years in field supervision activity.

Technical competencies:

• HSE consciousness, able to coordinate all related interfaces.
• Practical sense, autonomous, rigorous.
• Relationship management (coordination) with company production & maintenance and teams.
• Ability to work under pressure and stressing conditions.
• Fluent in English.

Managerial competencies

Activities

• Be the construction representative on site.
• Liaise on daily basis with Head of Construction.
• Oversee the contractor teams and material follow up.
• Be active in site works preparation: Job Card, MoS, Lifting Plan, permit to work.
• Supervise site construction activities, meeting quality and safety requirements, which can include:
  • Piping works, structural and E/I works plus painting (including excavation for cable trenching - on Halul).
  • Hot works (welding, cutting, grinding).
  • Scaffolding and work at height.
  • Specific lifting operations.
• Participate in the elaboration of 5 weeks look ahead planning.
• Ensure correct reporting to Doha office and to Site Manager (daily and weekly reports).
• Ensure that RFM process is followed.
• Ensure that final documentation is updated to reflect site condition.
• Supervise pre-commissioning activities and formalize handover dossier to Field Operations.
• Participate in pre-job, planning, coordination and PTW meetings.
• Coordinate with site personnel and mainly Site Manager (RSES).
• Check organization and permit to work system application.
• Liaise with Doha for assistance.
• Perform required site surveys.
• Make necessary arbitration between different disciplines, in order to have safe, coherent, and homogeneous works in all disciplines and to complete the job on time.
