Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Responsible for managing day-to-day organization operations by directing and coordinating activities consistent with established goals, objectives, and policies.
• Fully aware of all infrastructure procedures for power supply networks and street lighting works, rules and regulations of KAHRAMAA and ASHGHAL, and work closely with architects and engineers for relevant sub-station civil works to go over plans and blueprints, making timetables for the project, determining material and labor costs, negotiating with & hiring subcontractors and workers,
• Overseeing marketing and working to build strategic alliances with key individuals to strengthen company (i.e. customers, suppliers, future employees and other key groups).
• Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations and forecast data to determine progress toward goals and objectives.
• Constantly monitor contract costs, in comparison to set budgets
• Prepare cost to complete reports to management.
• Closely monitor materials orders/approvals/deliveries and site installation activities.
• Work out in association with Contracts Managers of works execution plans in line with relevant plan from main contractors.
• Constantly monitor and adjust the works execution plan to achieve timely completion of contract.
• Overseeing the preparation of RFP/RFQ solicitations when they are performance based requiring management plans, team qualifications, company qualifications, QC plans, performance history, company background, ability to demonstrate budget and schedule compliance, Utility Operations, Power Supply Networks, street lighting works, scheduling, shutdowns and system maintenance.
• Overseeing Project Management and the management of our electrical and construction projects to include assisting our Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers with any electrical or construction related issues
• Recruit, manage, direct activities and help retain Electrical and Construction team staff including all Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Coordinators.
• Provide development and training opportunities for the entire Electrical and Construction team as needed for succession planning and attainment of long-range goals and objectives.
• Participate in daily, weekly, monthly and annual planning process as appropriate.
• Close monitoring of correct monthly invoicing by each and every contract.
• Contract and company cash flow constant monitoring.
• Check up on invoices status and payments carried out.
• Exercise initiative in organizing and completing assigned tasks according to established guidelines, safety standards and procedures, deadlines and department parameters.
• Solves problems by using judgment based upon knowledge of existing products and tracts, properties’ and/or sub-contractor schedules, management policies and departmental practices and procedures.
• Meets established productivity, budget and task management standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Salary:
QAR 30,000 to 35,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

• Electrical Engineer; UPDA Grade A
• 15 years of management experience, as an Operations Manager for Electrical Infrastructure projects preferably with Civil works back ground.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with Customers, government officials and staff.
• Highly organized with the ability to handle a multitude of projects simultaneously.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Electrical and Construction industry including building blue prints, maps and color charts and power point reports.
• Ability to understand and follow Municipality building codes and regulations.
• Must have a clear understanding of trade/sub contractor’s duties.
• KAHRAMAA and OSHA training certificate preferred.
• Strong Computer skills including a proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of Microsoft Project.
• Contractual knowledge and understanding of legal terms and conditions.
