Charterhouse are undertaking a search for a leading Qatari family group, whom possess an extensive portfolio of Retail outlets, Brands and Consumables, and B2C/B2B services, within fundamental sectors such as Sports and Fitness, Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Real Estate, and Technology. Operating throughout the GCC region and in Europe, this well respected group has significantly contributed to the countries growth and are looking to hire an ambitious, Operations and Supply Chain Manager to lead and support their diverse gymnasium equipment operation, within their retail outlets and to their high-end luxury clients.
This role will be responsible for leading the sales and technical support teams of diverse gymnasium equipment brands to maximise profits, whilst minimizing operating costs. The incumbent will drive strategy brand implementation and market penetration by seeking opportunities and initiatives that improve organisational financial performance and result in an outstanding customer experience.
This mid-level role will manage the day-to-day operations for a variety of brands and retail outlets, form B2B, B2C and events management, whilst driving and delivering KPI’s, including sales and profit budgets. In conjunction, this predominately operational role, will work conjointly with the Supply Chain Manager, sales and technical support team to devise monthly action plans, consisting of inventory forecast and required services, to the General Manager.
Additionally, the role will liaise with vehicle leasing companies, selecting the vehicle fleet in order to keep deliveries and distributions on schedule within its established budget. Reporting in to the General Manager, the operational role will provide proposals of operations budgets, CAPEX / OPEX for authorization, using monthly data and analysis.
The client will look to recruit a motivated operations manager with a minimum of 8 years’ experience and demonstrable experience in supply chain of gymnasium / sports equipment to retailers and high-end, luxury customers. The selected candidate must have Bachelor’s Degree in either Applied Science, Business Management or Technical Engineering, Masters or MBA is preferred.
You will demonstrate a strong business acumen and a track record of P&L, Supply Chain and Logistics and Project Management experience within a sports retail environment, and be skills in qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
Excellent spoken and written English is essential for the role, with Italian speaking language as a preference.
This role is based in Doha on a full-time basis and will require overseas candidates to relocate.
