Organisational Design Specialist - Qatar Airways - Doha

You will be responsible for defining the main principles for the creation and evaluation of job across the Group, as well as for the creation and update organizational structures, in order to improve efficiency and productivity. Proactively manages in cooperation with multiple stakeholders the implementation of complex projects in job analysis and organisational design, and provides suggestions in order to support the change projects and strategies which help realize the Vision, Mission and Strategic Plan of the Group.

You will also maintain internal equity across QR Group-wide job evaluations through sound and consistent application of Job Evaluation (JE) framework, standards, processes and tools including in-depth analysis/assessment of job context and content and sound rationale and internal comparisons for all job evaluation submissions. Accountable for using HAY Methodology measuring, evaluating, controlling and classifying jobs thereby establishing the basis for ranking jobs across the board. Review roles' grades across the organisation and compares job contents in order to ensure consistency of grading for similar roles found in different departments.

Participate in designing and maintaining the job matrix of all jobs in the organization. Investigate job evaluation requests from the stakeholders, finding out the rational for evaluation in order to ensure appropriate upgrade of roles. This would include reviewing requests from the line management on upgrading of roles and proceeding to relevant recommendations.

Ensure that the Database and all systems are continuously and accurately updated as per the latest changes.Collaborate on executive/non-executive job matching sessions with Remuneration and Recruitment team to ensure validity and accuracy in job analysis and compensation / recruiting information.

In addition to that , you will participate in the development and maintenance of the QR Group organisational structure, by understanding the departmental operations and best practice of workflows, and providing suggestions. Participate in discussions with line management and HR business support team in creating optimal organizational design.

Conduct regular audits of the organizational structure recommends changes, and identifies duplication of roles across in order to make the organization structure more lean and efficient.Propose the design of new structures and jobs as well as the development of teams, departments, divisions, sections, and overall organisation structure Advise on the correct job titles as per the established company guidelines, in order to ensure consistency and alignment with the rest of the Group.

Develops, proposes and facilitates implementation of organisation design processes in partnership with line management and HR leadership. Contributes to the design of rules for the organizational structure creation and ensures implementation. Diagnose potential organizational problematic areas in terms of reporting lines, position titles, roles and structure and discusses corrective actions.Assess organizational needs through interviews with all stakeholders and works with senior management to develop and maintain a strategic business plan.

Research other organizations' practices - locally, regionally, and internationally - to benchmark the key areas and reports on the findings on areas of improvements.

Requirements

To be Successful in this role you need to hold a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Human Resources field. Preferred and a minimum of 5 years of job-related experience. You will also need to have an understanding the implication of corporate change (strategic change) on organizational design in terms of staffing needs, business systems, rewards etc.

Good knowledge of state-of-the-art organisation development and design, methodologies and tools. As for your evaluation skills - you will have the ability to critically examine content and ascertain materials essential to effective learning and knowledge retention. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to communicate with the senior management level is also needed.
