Rixos Qetaifan Island North

Opening mid 2022, Rixos Doha Qetaifan will comprise a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sq m of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park and a waterpark. The resort will boast panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Slated to make its debut right before the World Cup, Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country's biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North's waterpark attraction The Icon Tower, the world's highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres in height.

Painter - Hotel

This position is responsible for the Hotel Area maintenance and repair works consist of preventive/planned and reactive maintenance, daily operations.

What you will be doing:

- The ability to maintain the painted finishes in a manner consistent with that of a luxury standard.
- The ability to clean and touch up painted surfaces
- The ability to carry out minor wallpaper repairs
- The ability to repair and refinish woodwork.
- The ability to patch and paint interior and exterior surfaces.
- The ability to caulk and grout
- The ability to maintain brushes and rollers in good condition.
- The ability to perform all sealant works
- The ability to mount/demount, assembly plasterboard partitions/walls/covers
- The ability to install, repair and maintain service hatches
- The ability to maintain marble in good condition include polishing and crystallization
- The ability to advise Engineering Management when there is a shortage of material
- The ability to follow proper payroll and uniform procedures.
- The ability to complete all assigned work in a safe and complete fashion.
- The ability to use all safety precautions at all times when using tools, chemicals, ladders, or other potentially dangerous equipment or supplies.
- The ability to complete all assigned project in a timely fashion.
- The ability to ensure a clean, neat and organized work area.
- The ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of Rixos Brand.
- The ability to handle and report any accident immediately, no matter how minor.
- The ability to maintain a good working relationship with other employees.
- The ability to respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
- The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by management and staff.

Requirements

Your experience and skills include:

- Apprenticeship or other form of training in painting and decorating / carpentry preferable and marble polishing and crystallization
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar capacity with proven track records
- Good reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
- Hotel experience in 5-star hotel.
- Blueprints reading knowledge
- Service-oriented with an eye for details
- Well-presented and professionally groomed at all times
