Job description / Role
Develop lesson plans
Develop lesson plans and themes in line with curriculum objectives specific for teaching physical education at secondary grade levels. Instruct through lectures, discussions, and demonstrations. Use computers, audiovisual aids, and other equipment and materials to supplement presentations. Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet the varying needs and interests of students. Facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with students and organizing learning resources and the classroom environment.
Collaboration and Professional Development
Meet with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve any possible behavioral or academic problems. Attend professional development workshops and educational conferences in order to maintain and improve professional competence. Establish and enforce rules for class management and student behavior. Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate student progress.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Education or in Physical Science from a recognized university in the US, CA, UK, AU, NZ, South Africa (UK preferred as they use British Curriculum)
- A teaching license from one of the following countries: UK, US, CA, AU, NZ, ZA
- Must have excellent English communication skills
- Must have excellent classroom management skills and be able to deal effectively with student behavior issues
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years teaching experience for physical education at the appropriate grade level
- Culturally sensitive, dependable, flexible, and able to work in a continuously changing environment
Monthly Salary Range
- Tax-free monthly salary from QAR 10,000 - 13,000 depending on qualifications and years of experience.
Housing
- Furnished 1 or 2 bedroom apartment depending on family status
- Or housing allowance
Utilities
- Paid for singles QAR 300 or married QAR 500.
Transportation
- Provided from school-provided housing.
Health Insurance Coverage
- Medical coverage provided for employee only.
Annual Air Tickets
- Relocation air tickets provided for employee and 1 dependent (spouse or 1 child). Annual cash allowance equivalent to air ticket to home country for employee and 1 dependent.
Leave
- In addition to official holidays, paid leave is allocated as per school calendar breaks. Minimum 30 workdays per year.
Dependent School Fees
- 100% for one dependent attending the same school as the employee.
Visa & Medical Check Fees
- Paid for residency visa by school for employee only.
End Of Service Benefit
- One month basic salary for each year worked paid when leaving employer according to labor law of the country.
Contract Period
- 1-2 year contract - renewable.
Location
- Doha, Qatar.
Paperwork Requirements
- Notarized and attested academic degrees, teaching certificates, transcripts, marriage and dependent birth certificates. You will be advised of school requirements.
Start Date
- August 2025.
