Position Summary

To support the project control personnel of various projects utilising the suite of Worley project control systems (including cost, document control and planning systems) in the set-up and execution phases of the project.

Primary Responsibilities
- Provide project control and planning services for the support of the Worley project control systems and allocated projects
- Assist the Project Controls Group in the rollout of project control systems including initial configuration and contribution to training activities
- Liaise with project team members to ensure the correct utilisation of the project control systems including cost, document control and planning systems based on project specific requirements and corporate guidelines
- Participate in the development of data interfaces for third party project systems, as required
- Take ownership of the planning function and ensure integrity of the data being processed
- Interface with project personnel to develop project forecasts for schedule dates and analyse project schedule
- Supervise any supporting roles in the project planning area
- Prepare regular status reports and forecasts for project management and client review.
- Liaise with clients to clarify schedule related issues and develop timely and meaningful monthly reports.
- Ensure timely processing of project accounts according to EPCM contract terms
- Liaise with Client for reporting purposes
- Establish and maintain activity level integration between P6 and Project Management Reporting tool.
- Maintain critical path diagrams and computer analysis of programme to ensure project target dates are met.
- Implement schedule controls including management of float, earned value and critical paths
- Preparation of budgets and schedules in conjunction with engineering procurement construction and commissioning team members
- Ensure effective coordination and cooperation between other team members, particularly in regard to cost, planning and document control matters

Requirements

Industry Specific Experience:
Minimum 8 years planning/cost control experience within the oil and gas industry.
Minimum of 5-year experience in Planning and Scheduling of brown field projects in operating plants. Proficiency and skills in review and commenting on PEP developed by contractors.
Experience in cost control, cost estimating, project scheduling and risk management with associated alignment of these disciplines.

Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
- Full-Time Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university
- MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation is a mandatory requirement. Candidates not holding this accreditation must be willing to achieve this within the probationary period.
