Planning/Claims Specialist - International Building Contractor - Qatar

The Role:

The Planning and Claims Specialist will be based in Qatar in the Company's Head Office reporting to Company's Corporate Planning Manager.

Roles and Responsibilities will be inclusive of:

• Collecting all the relevant information from Site Team and Site Planners to prepare a claim.
• Selecting the correct method in-line with the contract requirement and performing Delay Analysis.
• Writing the narrative of Delay Analysis including Cause & Effect of the Delay Events in coordination with the Contract Administrator.
• Setting up a procedure for the management of Notifications and Claims.
• Ensuring the proper records are kept within the specific project organization to support preparation of any Extension of Time and Disruption claims.
• Prepare Templates to be used by the Site Team to keep required records.
• Prepare In-House training proposals to improve the efficiency in Planning in coordination with the Corporate Planning Manager.

Requirements

Candidate Requirement:

• Western Educated, Masters Degree in relevant field is an advantage.
• Minimum 12 Years of Experience in Construction industry; preferably in both Contractors and Claims Consultant Companies.
• Experience in Residential, Hospitality, High-Rise and/or Plant Construction Projects in Qatar.
• Hands on Experience in preparation of Extension of Time Claims using; Time Impact Analysis, Window Analysis, As-Built vs As Planned.
• Able to work on multiple to organize, prioritize the given tasks and work on multiple claims at a time.
• Aware of administration of various International Forms of Contracts, proficient in FIDIC Red Book 1987 and 1999.
• Highly competent in use of computer software including, Adobe Acrobat Professional, MS Excel, MS Project, Primavera P6
• Previous experience in managing complex schedules with high-number of activities, able to overcome technical difficulties during the execution of these schedules.
• Proactive and Result Oriented.
• Able to present complex analysis results to different parties in simple ways using various tools.
• Membership in Professional Instituions such as SCL, AACE. PSP Certificate is an advantage,
