Job description / Role
Our client are a leading international main contractor who specialise in infrastructure projects throughout the region.
Due to recent project awards, they are actively seeking a Senior Planning Engineer with strong experience in Roads & Highways projects to join the team.
• Production of detailed programmes covering Detailed Design, Procurement, Manufacture, Installation and Commissioning.
• Developing and submission of detailed and comprehensive construction program, including loading resources & cost.
• Assist in preparation of programme master schedule and performs critical path analysis;
• Integrates project budget and schedule to support EVM analysis and reporting;
• Participates in claims analysis and negotiations;
• Prepares schedule performance measurements reports, forecasts and studies;
• Prepares project plans and detailed manpower utilization plans;
• Analyzes critical paths and restraints to determine effect of changes on the schedule and recommends workarounds to mitigate impacts;
• Assist in preparation of the Weekly and Monthly progress report;
• Performs special analysis for resource loading and performance progress;
• Analyzes drawings, specifications and statements of work in the preparation of activity networks for project resource planning and scheduling;
• Analyze progress reports against current baseline schedules;
• Maintains liaison with the project and field personnel for schedule revisions and updates.
• Provide project planning capabilities including critical interfaces and risks analysis.
• Establish and monitor project controls KPI
Requirements
• Graduate / Post Graduate in Civil Engineering Discipline, PMP Certificate is Preferred.
• 10-15 years of experience in the Construction Industry including practical experience in maintenance planning and scheduling, work control, contracting and budgetary and cost control procedures.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications and specialized planning software including Primavera and other turnaround software.
• In-depth knowledge of planning tools, techniques and philosophy.
• Scheduling experience on major projects, with multiple contractor organizations.
• Working knowledge of schedule development and control methods and principles
