Plumber

To maintain the building plumbing and drainage system in good working condition by carrying out the necessary repairs and preventive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Reports to the supervisor/ foreman regarding daily work progress and trouble report completion.
- To ensure proper operation of the plumbing equipment and thus an efficient water supply throughout the hotel.
- To ensure proper and efficient functioning of sewer pumps at the times and carry out preventive maintenance of the same.
- Responsible for all plumbing and drainage in all the areas of the property i.e. outdoor drainage, irrigation network, etc
- Works closely with supervisor / team leader and peers to carry out preventive maintenance and annual maintenance program.
- Follows all safety rules and regulations in job, departmental procedures and instructions.
- Maintain and keep all automatic flushing valves operational
- Maintain and clean all fat traps within the kitchen areas
- Ensure regular maintenance and chemicals are used for cleaning existing soil and stack pipes
- Ensure all roof level ventilation vent pipes and roof rainwater outlets are kept clear at all times
- Review building plans and specifications to determine the layout for plumbing and related materials
- Identify required tools and special equipment and select the type and size of pipe required
- Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures
- Install supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures and equipment
- Install, repair and maintain underground storm sanitary, water piping systems, sinks, tubs, toilets, water heaters and conditioners.
- ICarries out all other tasks assigned to him by his supervisor.

Requirements

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

- Degree in Technical Engineer graduate with Professional
- License, course or equivalent certificate
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in hotel industry
- English Language
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules (i.e. Lockout Tag out, JSA's), safety awareness information, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports, keep logs and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively with customers, guests and staff members.
