Position Overview:

Responsible for providing an advanced level of technical advice to design team to ensure that the water treatment plants and other water schemes projects are designed in accordance with applicable standards and regulatory requirements. Also performs advanced, complex engineering assignments using convention or innovative engineering techniques and analyses as related to project process systems. Performs Front-end Engineering Design works as required.

Responsibilities:

• Leading a process design team to complete scopes of work within agreed time frames
• Defining critical process constraints and informing the multidisciplinary team of issues
• Assist relevant staff/teams on process design issues
• Liaising with other design team members
• Working with the programme Quality Manager and Project Manager to meet Health and Safety and overall project quality objectives
• Ensuring project financial performance within process discipline budget on projects
• Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with the other discipline leads on the projects
• Assessing build ability, challenging proposals, considering alternative solutions
• Assessing and communicating areas of process risk for design and build projects
• Preparing commissioning risk assessments and identifying risk mitigation measures
• Analysing process plant commissioning needs and preparing commissioning methodology

Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelors' degree in chemical engineering from an accredited university.
• Should have at least 8 years in process engineering for industrial wastewater treatment projects with minimum 3 years as commissioning/operation engineer.
• Must have Experience in reviewing at least two design build documents related to industrial wastewater works.
• Must be proficient in written and spoken English
• Computer skills and the ability to utilize design softwares is mandatory.
