Job description / Role
Client is an Engineering Consultancy are currently seeking a Procurement Engineer to join their team to work on a buildings project based in Qatar.
The Procurement Engineer investigates the market with specifications and performance requirements for products, analyzes technical and commercial data based on the responses received, re-iterates with bidders, recommending those most desirable using tools like bid comparison tables/ BOQs.
On approval, the Procurement Engineer issues the Purchase Order, tracks and expedites the supply, handles Inspections and delivery to site. The Procurement Engineer also provides assistance in supplier-site coordination for site handling, storage installation and commissioning.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering Discipline and member of professional body/bodies with a minimum of Eight (8) years progressive experience in all phases of major engineering and construction projects with, at least, five (5) years of construction experience in Procurement activities.
