Job description / Role
Charterhouse is working with an EPC in Qatar who is looking to hire a Procurement Manager, working on offshore and onshore piping and associated interconnecting pipework.
Your main responsibilities will be to develop project procurement plans and manage all procurement activities including purchasing, expediting, traffic and logistics. You will oversee the compilation of standard purchasing package documentation, RFQ’s and P.R’s as well as develop equipment and bulk lead times for incorporation into project master schedule. You will also be in charge of the coordination of vendor bid appraisals and vendor selection process and monitor project procurement expenditure and cost forecasts. In addition, you will provide management comprehensive procurement reports and support package managers by making available package engineering support from engineers as necessary.
Requirements
The successful candidate should have a minimum of 10 years experience in handling EPC projects within the Oil and Gas field (offshore and onshore) and civil projects. You should have strong leadership and communication abilities and be able to demonstrate flexibility and resilience in dealing with complex issues. You should also have an approach to change and deploy sound problem solving techniques.
