Job description / Role
Product Innovation Sr Manager for Vodafone Qatar
Role purpose: This role will be responsible for the introduction of technology innovation releases into the overall information systems architecture by leveraging the existing platforms to define fit for purpose and out of the box solutions that meet business objectives and deliver on the commercial needs for the market.
Critical to success of this role is the ability to appropriately engage business stakeholders, group technology teams and external partners through well-established governance processes, for leading the technology system functional evolution and lead the planning of demand initiatives with the commercial teams
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
• Lead the technology functional evolution Strategy and lead Planning Initiatives with commercial team.
• Research, monitor and report on Vodafone group best practices and localize products based on market need.
• Collect evolving marketing team’s requirements for new and enhanced services.
• Deep dive in systems unused capabilities and build relevant products on top of existing features.
• Monthly release of new functionalities and features to be presented to commercial teams.
Key performance indicators:
• Number of new ideas and functionalities generated per month.
• Adoption rate of new ideas and functionalities from commercial
Requirements
Must have technical / professional qualifications.
Bachelor degree in telecommunications or equivalent.
MBA is a plus.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
• Ideally have a technical background
• Experience working cross functionally (Marketing, IT, customer care)
• Experience working with diverse groups of people to manage and influence change.
• Experience coordinating complex product development cycles and engineering schedules.
• Worked in both technical and commercial roles for more than 10 years.
