Job Summary and Purpose

The Production Engineer provides the technical & technological problem-solving ability of production engineering process and planning abilities in order to lead work teams and control production process for executing work to a high quality & auditable standard that is consistent with contract work scope, statutory & code requirements, Integrated Management System (IMS) procedures, design parameters, site survey input, and vendor data. This job, and subordinates, perform repair, installation, & modification activities.

Accountabilities

• Ensures compliance on quality, safety and environment requirements in accordance with the Integrated Management System Manual.
• Ensure completion of Machinery work scope which includes raising SCR’s, MTO, WCFs, issuance of foreman chits to various departments, raising all necessary PTWs and TQR or technical queries if required.
• Instructs the supervisors to carry out the jobs and ensure compliance to all necessary documents which also covers TQR or technical queries regarding execution of the jobs or variation on actual scope.
• Monitor and ensure completion of jobs based on plan and budgeted manhours and provide feedback to internal/external customer. Work schedule inputs will also be considered based on inputs of internal customer.
• Participate in various meetings, both internal and external requirements, if required.
• Conducts briefing to the Foreman, Supervisor & Workers, including sub-contractors and monitor compliance of all safety matter, work instructions and procedures.
• Perform other duties assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

Qualifications:

• A Diploma or a Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Certificate of Competency (Marine Engineer Officer) Class 3 to 1 (Motor Ship), or its equivalent.

Experience:

• At least 4 years of relevant experiences for diploma holders and 2 years of relevant experience for degree holders.
