Production Supervisor

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive Production Supervisor to oversee daily production activities at Ready Mix plants and ensure efficient, uninterrupted operations. The role involves coordinating with batching plant operators, monitoring raw material usage, ensuring orders are executed on time, and supporting the Production Manager in achieving operational targets.
This is a hands-on supervisory role—not a strategic or department-head position.

Key Responsibilities
Daily Production Oversight
• Supervise daily production operations to ensure smooth batching, loading, and dispatching of concrete.
• Ensure production schedules are followed and all orders are executed on time and to specification.
• Monitor plant performance and report downtime, delays, or deviations immediately to the Production Manager.

Resource & Raw Material Management
• Monitor daily raw material availability and consumption at the plant.
• Ensure adequate buffer stock to avoid production interruptions.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Yard teams regarding incoming materials.

Operational Coordination
• Work closely with Sales, Logistics, QC, and Maintenance teams to ensure seamless order execution.
• Follow up on scheduled orders and ensure timely loading and dispatching.
• Report any operational issues affecting production or customer deliveries.

Quality & Efficiency Control
• Ensure batching and production processes meet company quality standards.
• Reduce rejected loads, waste, and dumped concrete through proper process control.
• Monitor production efficiency and support initiatives to reduce operational costs.

Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain accurate records of daily production, raw material usage, downtimes, and plant activities.
• Prepare daily production reports for the Production Manager.
• Assist in load planning and priority scheduling.

Team Supervision
• Supervise batching plant operators, helpers, and production staff.
• Ensure staff adherence to operating procedures, safety standards, and shift schedules.
• Report staff performance or attendance issues to the Production Manager.

Compliance & Safety
• Ensure adherence to HSE standards across all plant operations.
• Prevent unsafe practices and report any incidents or hazards immediately.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment in the plant.

Education
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant technical field (preferred but not mandatory).

Experience
• 4–7+ years of experience in Ready Mix production, batching operations, or plant supervision.
• Strong knowledge of concrete production processes and batching plant equipment.

Skills & Competencies
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to supervise staff and manage day-to-day operations.
• Good understanding of raw material consumption and production planning.
• Basic reporting and documentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Familiarity with ERP / batching systems is an advantage.
