Project Civil Engineer

Job description / Role

Linum Consult’s client is a major international company working within the energy sector. They are currently seeking a Project Civil Engineer to be based in their Doha office.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Overseeing construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
• Developing detailed project plans, including scope, schedule and budget
• Reviewing engineering designs, drawings, and specifications using CAD software
• Conducting site investigations and risk assessments
• Ensuring designs comply with building codes, regulations, and local and international industry standards
• Ensuring executed work complies with approved designs, local, national, and international building codes and regulations
• Monitoring project progress, identifying potential delays, and implementing corrective actions

PROFILE

• Degree qualification in Civil Engineering
• At least 10 years’ experience in similar roles in large companies, with a minimum of 3 years in positions of increasing managerial responsibilities
• Good understanding of the power and/or energy sectors, with a history of executing the civil engineering works on power plant construction projects
• Fluent in English and preferably Arabic as well
• Currently working in Doha, with a good understanding of Qatar and GCC culture & working environment.
