Project Design Manager

Job description / Role

• Lead and manage design teams through all phases of design development from concept to completion.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure project requirements and design intent are achieved.
• Ensure all design solutions comply with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), local building codes, and cultural sensitivities.
• Review and approve design documentation including drawings, materials, and specifications.
• Oversee the preparation of presentations, design reports, and progress documentation.
• Allocate resources and manage project timelines to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regional market trends, materials, and innovation in design.

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
• Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Previous experience working in the GCC / Consultant firm, preferably in Qatar.
• Strong portfolio showcasing leadership on high-quality, large-scale projects.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
• Proficient in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp).
• Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Valid QID and transferable sponsorship preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:
• MMUP/UPDA certification is an advantage.
• PMP or other project management certification is a plus.
