Job description / Role

To provide overall leadership and guidance to the Project Management Team with emphasis on program coordination and integration.

• Provide direction and management for the projects/ programs in accordance with MoM obligations.
• Maintain a strategic overview of the program and provide advice and direction to ensure efficient execution of the program.
• Lead project management team and effectively motivate, organize and empower personnel.
• Establish assignments and direct the activities of Senior Project Managers/ Project Managers and Project Controls Managers.
• Overall responsibility for the management of the reporting discipline within the PMDD.
• Accountable for uniform reporting throughout the business.
• Report timely and accurate information on the progress of the program and any conditions which would affect the MoM Strategic Objectives to ensure the Senior leadership can make informed and timely decisions.
• Make recommendations to upper management as appropriate, for the resolution of major problems.
• Establish policies and procedures tailored to the Initiatives/Projects and ensure effective implementation and conformance.
• Maintain strong stakeholders and sectors relations.
• Continually seek and capture lessons learned and use this intelligence to improve systems, tools and processes.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

• B.Sc. /M.Sc in Engineering / Project Management.
• Professional Qualification PMP. APM
• More than 20 years of demonstrable experience projects management.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Arabic.
