Project Engineer

Job description / Role

Purpose:

Manage and execute multiple brownfield modification/retrofit projects (onshore & offshore) following standards, ensuring safety, quality, cost control, and timely delivery.

Reporting line:

Reports to section head.
Works closely with internal teams (Engineering, Projects, Operations, SHE, Finance) and external parties (contractors, vendors, regulators).

Key responsibilities:

• Lead project planning, design, and execution from concept to completion.
• Ensure safety compliance and participate in audits and incident investigations.
• Manage FEED and EPC phases, ensuring maintainability and operability.
• Oversee construction activities, shutdown planning, and execution.
• Monitor project schedules, costs, risks, and performance metrics.
• Handle tendering processes and vendor selection.
• Support Qatarization and ensure compliance with company policies.

Challenges:

• Tight deadlines, high-pressure environment, and complex shutdowns.
• Balancing multiple priorities while ensuring operational continuity.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in project execution, especially brownfield and SIMOPS.
• Strong technical knowledge, field experience, and familiarity with engineering tools.
• Excellent English communication skills.
