Job description / Role
As a project engineer you will be responsible for the effective execution of project essentially by coordinating various technical & site activities at every level of the project from the mobilization stage to commissioning and handing over.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates assigned engineering work.
- Monitor for compliance to applicable codes and adheres to project budget and schedules.
- Responsible for ensuring all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed.
- Accounting for engineering tasks and developing project specific procedures for the work to be carried out and satisfying contract requirements.
- Interpreting clients requirements; identifying and addressing design parameters and engineering problems and initiating appropriate corrective actions.
- Ensuring all justification for contractual variations during projects are maintained to support subsequent commercial claims.
- Evaluating, organizing, and prioritizing work within the overall project schedule.
- Taking responsibility for a team of engineers and ensure effective engineering and client communication.
Requirements
- Minimum (5) Years experience in similar role with (Roads and Infrastructure Company).
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation.
- Communication skills, both written and oral.
- A methodical approach, commendable analytical abilities and attention to details.
- Organizational and negotiation skills.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Capability of working in diverse situations.
