Job description / Role

Main responsibilities but not limited;
• Ensure works activities are executed as per the consultant’s approved QA/QC plan
• Implement the approved safety and security plan and issue instructions as per prescribed in that.
• Ensure in depth study of drawings, specifications and monitor technical clearance to subordinates such as site engineers / site foreman
• Follow up with the consultant/client as well as the Operation Manager for any clearance prior to stoppage of works
• Contact with government survey department for the exact properly point as per drawing.
• Ensure non-conformity issued after rejection of any materials.
• Follow up with purchasing until finalization to requested purchase order and items delivery, and report any delay to the Operations Manager as needed.
• Monitor and control the subcontractor’s delivery material on time.
• Make sure that all the monitoring/ measuring equipment used in the Project are calibrated as mentioned in approved procedure.
• Make sure that all employees in the project are following the safety requirements.
• Initiate the fast Accident Report immediately when any accident/ incident noticed, and then forward it to the Safety Officer, Administration and Personnel Dept. Manager and Operations Manager.
• Make sure that the housekeeping is in good manner.
• Attend the weekly management meeting and follow up the action assigned on the specified dates without any delays.
• Attend the periodic meetings with the Client/ Consultant as scheduled and maintain records of minutes of meeting.
• Take proactive leadership role to improve process improvement in all areas of project delivery and management.
• Monitor and control the works in terms of quality required and schedule time.
• Ensure the subcontractors payment forwarded on timely manner with the consideration of sufficient safety margin (i.e. retention of money)
• Coordinate with the Main Store and Purchasing for material order and delivery on site.
• Supervise and manage the project staff and make sure that all of them are executing works in accordance to the Job Description.
• Conduct staff evaluation every year and forward to personnel with corrective actions in coordination with Operation Manager for improvement of staff’s efficiency.
• Recommended suitable training for staffs under you to upgrade their skills.
• Ensure train and transmittal of project Quality Policy and its deadline to all executive staffs (site engineer, site foremen, etc.).
• Ensuring filling system in order and matching with main office filling system
• Performs any other duties assigned by Operations Manager.

Requirements

The project manager role includes leading a project team and reporting to the Operation Manager. Being overall responsible for planning, construction, testing, commissioning and hand-over stages per the objectives set out in the Business Plan to ensure project delivery within the set project cost, time and quality outcomes.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Experience more than 12+ years ALL TYPES of construction field MEP & CIVIL
• Required language(s): English and Arabic
• Strong leadership qualities
• Mechanical engineer or civil engineer
• Familiar with Turn Key projects
• Team leader and proactive person
• PMP certificate will be a plus for the candidate
