Projects Director - Infrastructure Contractor, Qatar

International Contractor based in Doha are looking for an Area Manager / Director of Projects to be responsible for 3 large infrastructure schemes.

This is a Senior appointment which carries direct responsibility for circa 1.5 Billion QAR worth of work across the 3 projects.

Each of these live jobs has a Project Manager in place and fully functioning Site / Commercial teams.

Reporting into the Operations Director you will oversee / manage each of these Project Managers.

They are looking for a Senior, Professional individual who is from a Contracting background, but someone who is client facing. This is important. They do NOT just want someone who can drive a job forward as a strong PM / PD. This person needs to be commercially savvy, a strategic problem solver as well as being excellent with third party / client interaction and relationship building.

Requirements

- University Degree in Construction related subject (infrastructure preferred but not essential)
- 20+ years experience
- Contracting background
- Will have worked on a large infrastructure project at Project Director level in the Middle East
- Ideally this person will have experience of managing multiple projects in a similar role. But a strong PD who meets all of the above criteria could perhaps also be considered.
