Established in 2001 as a partnership between Cornell University and Qatar Foundation, WCM-Q is part of Weill Cornell Medicine in New York and shares its mission of dedication to excellence in education, patient care, and research.

The first medical school in Qatar and a pioneer of coeducation at a university level, WCM-Q offers an integrated program of pre-medical and medical studies leading to the Cornell University M.D. degree. Teaching is by Cornell and Weill Cornell faculty, including physicians at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) who hold Weill Cornell appointments.

WCM-Q is in its 15th year of operation and is seeking a candidate for Projects Specialist in the Institute for Population Health.

Under the leadership of the Senior Associate Dean for Population Health and Capacity Building and Director, IPH, the Projects Specialist (PS) is responsible for managing and leading public health research and related projects. The PS develops methodology and techniques for conducting the research, and the development of research instruments. The PS will assist in reviewing research related fieldwork, validating collected data, authoring reports and communicating within WCM-Q and across various local and global institutions and communities in accordance with the Division of IPH program framework, goals and objectives.

Requirements

The successful candidate is required to have Medical Degree (MD or MBBS) or Advanced degree in Public Health (MPH or M.Sc.). A motivated, self-starter, proactive individual with proven analytical and problem-solving skills is what we are looking for in this position!

Having two or more years research and/or clinical experience in Qatar and demonstrated excellent project management skills, team working and multitasking ability in a diverse, results oriented environment is essential.
