WSP are looking for Protection Engineers to join our ongoing project in Qatar.
The key objectives of the role will be to ;
• Witness testing and commissioning of all protection equipment and instruments such as Relay, CT, VT etc.
• Witness all necessary tests and commissioning for all new/replaced/mal-operation of the followings: protection relays, CT, VT, power transformer, capacitor bank, auto-recloser, battery chargers, switchgears ...etc.
• Check and approve As-Built electrical drawings when required.
• Provide technical consultation & support to Client operation & maintenance departments and other departments when required
• Liaise with other consultants/contractors for interface meetings, troubleshooting, & agree technical reports
• Investigate tripping incidents and comment on reports provided by Contractor.
• Check relay-setting calculation for existing and new devices.
• Revue protection scheme when required by Client.
• Comment on Fault analysis & trouble shooting made by contractor.
Requirements
To qualify for this role, you must be degree qualified electrical engineer with minimum eight years of experience in protection activates related to equipment of Grid sub-stations, primary In/Door and Out/Door SS, five years on various gulf sites.
