Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Main Responsibilities:
• Planning, developing and implementing PR strategies
• Develop/update, implement and maintain the public relations plans, policies, protocols and guidelines and ensure that they stay aligned to the organizations overall objectives and strategy.
• Work along with the project teams and provide timely communication that are relevant to the public
• Identify and manage any risks and opportunities that are relevant to public.
• Prepare press releases, reviewing marketing material, producing newsletters and contents for social media.
• Prepare executive presentations and speeches.
• Review, approve and monitor Consultants and Contractor’s public relation plans, activities and materials associated with delivery of projects
• Liaise with individual project teams, supervision consultants and contractors to proactively identify opportunities to improve the relationship with stakeholders.
• Support corporate PR Department to promote content for communication materials, flagging promotional opportunities and contributing to promotional events.
• Support the customer relationship management team in resolving complaints, suggestions and enquires.
• Communicating with colleagues and key spokespeople
• Liaising with, and answering enquiries from media, individuals and other organizations, often via telephone and email
• Researching, writing and distributing press releases to targeted media
• Collating and analyzing media coverage
• Writing and editing in-house magazines, case studies, speeches, articles and annual reports
• Preparing and supervising the production of publicity brochures, handouts, direct mail leaflets, promotional videos, photographs, films and multimedia programmes
• Devising and coordinating photo opportunities
• Organizing events including press conferences, exhibitions, open days and press tours
• Maintaining and updating information on the organization’s website
• Managing and updating information and engaging with users on social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook
• Sourcing and managing speaking and sponsorship opportunities
• Commissioning market research
• Fostering community relations through events such as open days and through involvement in community initiatives
• Managing the PR aspect of a potential crisis situation

Requirements

• University degree from a recognized University in an appropriate field such as business, marketing or management or equivalent. Master’s degree in a relevant field is an advantage.
• Minimum of 15 years post graduate experience in a public relations role preferably with experience in major infrastructure projects or programmes; out of which a minimum of 5 years in senior role in public relations related to construction Industry - preference will be given to roads, aviation, structures or rail related experience
• Experience in Developing and implementing public relations plans, policies, protocols and guidelines on major projects
• Sound knowledge of the Qatar media rules and regulations
• Sound knowledge of digital, social media analytics, tools and trends
• Sound knowledge of communications tools and techniques, both strategic and Tactical
• Experience of working in GCC countries especially in Qatar.
• Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken
• Arabic language skills
• Driver’s License
