• Develop/update, implement and maintain the public relations plans, strategies, policies, protocols and guidelines and ensure that they stay aligned to the organization’s overall objectives and strategy
• Communicating with colleagues and key spokespeople and provide timely communication to the public regarding the traffic diversions, new road openings, road closures etc..
• Assist with preparing press releases, reviewing marketing material, producing newsletters and contents for social media.
• Prepare executive presentations and speeches
• Support corporate Public Relations Manager by providing content for communication materials, flagging promotional opportunities and contributing to promotional events
• Support the customer relationship management team in resolving complaints, suggestions and enquiries
• Liaising with, and answering enquiries from media, individuals and other organizations, often via telephone and email
• Help maintain the client’s corporate image and identity
• Draft speeches and arrange interviews for an organization’s top executives
• Researching, writing and distributing press releases to targeted media
• Evaluate advertising and promotion programs to determine whether they are compatible with client’s relations efforts
• Collating and analyzing media coverage
• Writing and editing in-house magazines, case studies, articles and annual reports
• Preparing and supervising the production of publicity brochures, handouts, direct mail leaflets, promotional videos, photographs, films and multimedia programmes
• Devising and coordinating photo opportunities
• Organizing events including press conferences, exhibitions, open days and press tours
• Maintaining and updating information on the organization’s website
• Updating information and engaging with users on social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook
• Sourcing speaking and sponsorship opportunities
• Commissioning market research
• Fostering community relations through events such as open days and through involvement in community initiatives

Requirements

• University degree from a recognized University in an appropriate field such as business, marketing or management or equivalent
• More than 5 years post graduate experience in a public relations role preferably with at least 3 years experience in major infrastructure projects or programmes - preference will be given to roads, aviation, structures or rail related experience
• Sound knowledge of all aspects public relations in construction industry involving delivery of large complex infrastructure projects
• Experience in Developing and implementing public relations plans, policies, protocols and guidelines on major projects
• Sound knowledge of digital, social media analytics, tools and trends
• Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken
• Arabic language skills is preferred
• Experience of working in Qatar and / or the Gulf region
• Proficient in MS Office
• Driver’s License
