Job description / Role
Linum Consult’s client is urgently seeking a QA Engineer specialising in highway construction project and from a consultancy background to join their team in Qatar.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Planning Quality Assurance activities in conjunction with the Project Manager
• Checking the delivered material is in compliance with the approved material submittals
• Controlling the quality and the compliance of all works carried out on site as per the method statements approved by the Engineer and as per local standards
• Executing audits, including unannounced visits, and following up with reporting and advice on corrective actions
• Monitoring and auditing the project Quality Management System including carrying out corrective and preventative action where required
• Using a document control system to record and track the quality documents
Requirements
• 7 years of experience, with at least 5 years of working on site on large highway or road construction projects for major consultancies
• Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or similar, with a QA qualification and IRCA Lead Assessor ISO 9001 certificate
• Good technical knowledge of Quality Assurance work practices and standards
• Previous history of working in the Middle East
• Immediate availability – if you’re already based in Qatar you will need an NOC
• Fluency in English, with good interpersonal and communication skills
