Quality Assurance Inspector (Expressway/Highway)

Opportunity

Parsons is the Project Consultant for the construction supervision of a large prestigious infrastructure project in Qatar. Scope of work includes roads, highway intersections, bridges and other structures, electrical (HV and LV) networks, potable water network, sewerage network, storm water drainage network and other infrastructure.

Position Overview

The Quality Assurance inspector is part of the site quality team who will review and monitor the implementation of the contractor quality assurance plan. He will assist the Quality Manager in internally monitoring the implementation of the Parsons’ Management System in compliance with the PARSONS Corporate policies, International Standards and Client’s requirements. in addition, he monitors and audit the contractor quality related activities, set forth in the Quality Plans, to confirm that products or services provided are in accordance with the client / contract requirements. He periodically conducts internal audits on the contractor and third part labs to ensure proper compliance with the Specifications and Standards. He interacts with the site team and propose improvement to processes whenever he opportunities arise.

Job Responsibilities:

• Review and comment on contractor’s quality plans for the project.
• plan and perform quality audits on the contractor, sub-contractor, and third party labs.
• analyse and process data related to quality activities and propose related improvements to the quality manager
• monitor the trends of Non-Conformance Reports, material rejection frequency, and closure of non-conformances, etc. and propose mitigate improvement
• monitor activity performance in line with the project specific Quality Plans, QA/QC processes and procedures in compliance with client’s quality requirements
• verifies the proper implementation of appropriate corrective action to quality issues.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as directed by the project Quality Manager.

Requirements

• 4-5 years of experience in related construction work. (degree is a plus)
• good knowledge of Quality Management Systems, promoting process improvement, internal audits and QA/QC processes.
• familiar with asphalt, concrete, and soil materials used in highway and bridge construction
• Proficiency in the use of computers and software packages related to field.
• The ability to communicate clearly, and interface effectively with a diverse group of professionals.
