We are working with a major oil & gas operator to source a quality lead (improvement). This is a long-term contract role. Please see details below.

Start date: ASAP (typically within 1 month notice)
Location: Qatar onshore
Working schedule: 6 days per week / 10 hours per day

Experience required

Key job accountabilities

  • Conduct trend analysis of quality data and develop quality improvement plans and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with all MP project quality managers/heads to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives while adhering to industry standards and regulations and communicate quality trends and improvement plans to MP projects and management.
  • Monitor and assess the work of various contractors and vendors executing work for client.
  • Assess project quality risk and develop contingency plans to mitigate any identified risk using various quality tools, e.g., SWOT, FMEA, infinity diagram, fault tree analysis, decision tree, and bowtie.
  • Analyze major projects & project audits, audit findings, deficiency reports (DRs), nonconformance reports (NCRs), specification deviation requests (SDRs), to identify trends and areas for improvements and propose improvement initiatives.
  • Authorize and monitor the activities of all contractors, subcontractors, vendors and sub-vendors quality support teams responsible for various quality activities/support for client projects.
  • Collect project lessons learned that allows team to analyze experiences and insights and learning throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to contractor and vendor quality personnel in the development of quality plans, gap analyses, processes and procedures to ensure compliance with client quality requirements.
  • Participate in project lessons learned sessions to improve and optimize quality interfaces for future projects.
  • Develop requirements and facilitate implementation of controls for electronic data including dashboards, file management, e-NCR, and lessons learned for internal use and as provided by suppliers.
  • Minimum requirements

    Qualifications

  • Bacheloru2019s degree in sciences or engineering.
  • Knowledge and key skills

  • 8 years experience in quality in the oil & gas industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
  • Experience with oil & gas companies, contractors, or service companies. Experience working in large scale operating organizations in operations, projects, etc. Knowledge of relevant quality systems, specifications, and tools. Knowledge of industry standards.
  • Certification and qualification in quality improvement processes and statistical methods (e.g. Power BI).
  • Strong knowledge in project risk management and quality statistical tools, e.g., SWOT, FMEA, infinity diagram, fault tree analysis, decision tree, bowtie, control charts, fishbone diagrams, histogram and other frequency distributions, Pareto charts, regression analysis, etc.
  • Knowledgeable in project management systems adapted to oil & gas industry.
